The use of cookies on the heyhey.ae website is governed by:

- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of the controller) for necessary cookies
Cookies that are necessary for the website to work (e.g. keeping you logged in) do not require consent, but we inform you about them. All other cookies (functional, analytics and marketing) require your active consent before they are activated.
3. Categories of cookies used by heyhey
We use four categories of cookies on the heyhey.ae website. You will find a detailed description of each of them below.
4. Necessary cookies (always on)
These cookies are required for the website to work properly. Without them, the site cannot function. They do not require consent, but we inform you that they are used.
- heyhey-session, the user session (duration: 2 hours). Without this cookie, you cannot log in.
- XSRF-TOKEN, protection against CSRF attacks (duration: 2 hours). Needed to use forms securely.
- heyhey_consent, remembers your cookie preferences (duration: 12 months). Needed so that we don’t show you the banner on every visit.
5. Functional cookies (require consent)
These cookies enable additional features and personalisation, but they are not essential for basic use of the website.
- heyhey_preferences, remembers your preferences (e.g. the option you last selected in the dashboard) (duration: 12 months)
- heyhey_locale, remembers your language preferences (duration: 12 months)
6. Analytics cookies (require consent)
These cookies help us understand how you use the website so that we can improve it. The data is anonymised: we do not identify individual users for analytics purposes.
- _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics 4, if enabled, only with your consent), counting visits, traffic sources and popular pages (duration: 24 months for _ga, 24 hours for _gid)
- _clck, _clsk (Microsoft Clarity, if enabled, only with your consent), heatmaps and analysis of user behaviour (duration: 12 months)
Provider: Google Ireland Limited (EU) for Google Analytics. Data is processed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.
7. Marketing cookies (require consent)
These cookies make it possible to personalise ads and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- _fbp, fr (Meta Pixel, if active), conversion tracking and remarketing on Facebook and Instagram (duration: 3 months)
- NID, IDE (Google Ads, if active), remarketing and conversion measurement in Google Ads (duration: 12 months)
Providers: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (EU), Google Ireland Limited (EU).
heyhey does not currently run any active advertising campaigns on Meta or Google Ads. If this changes, marketing cookies will only be activated after you have given your active consent.
8. Managing your consent
You can change your cookie consent at any time:
- Using the “Customise” button in the cookie banner shown on your first visit
- Opening the cookie settings panel from the website footer (the “Cookie settings” link)
After you change your preferences, scripts in the categories you have not accepted will be disabled, and the related cookies will be deleted on your next visit.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
Regardless of your settings on heyhey, you can manage cookies directly in your browser. You can block all cookies, delete existing ones or configure settings for each website separately.
