Features and prices as of 23 September 2026. The heyhey team prepared this comparison based on our own product and Calendly’s documentation. It isn’t an independent test of the two platforms.
Consider Calendly when what matters most is scheduling meetings linked to your calendar, video calls and your team’s tools. Consider heyhey when a consultation is part of an offer that also includes a course, an ebook, a sales page and email marketing. Both tools help the client pick a time, but they solve the wider problem in different ways.
You don’t have to move everything just because another calendar has come along. First, work out what’s hard for you today: finding a free slot, collecting payment or handling the whole offer after the purchase.
heyhey and Calendly: the key differences
| Area | heyhey | Calendly |
|---|---|---|
| Starting without a subscription | Starter: AED 0 forever; 1 product, for example a consultation | Free: one event type and one calendar connection |
| Paid consultation | Available on Starter too, once you connect a payment provider | Stripe and PayPal from the Standard plan |
| Reminders | By email; set in the consultation settings | Automated reminders from Standard |
| External calendars | heyhey bookings plus blocked time you add manually | Connections that check your calendars for busy times |
| Meeting location | Your own link, a phone call or an address | Video conferencing integrations, including Zoom |
| Course, file and consultation | Products and the client’s library in heyhey | We compare the meeting features, not a course platform |
The details of Calendly’s plans come from its pricing page and plan overview. You’ll find heyhey’s limits on our pricing page. Both have a free plan, but that doesn’t mean the two plans offer the same services.
When Calendly is the better fit
If your day is already recorded in an external calendar, having its busy times taken into account automatically may be a must. Calendly can also add Zoom meeting details automatically once you connect your account. That’s a different mechanism from pasting a fixed meeting room link. Calendly’s Zoom integration page describes this flow.
If you work as a team, check how meetings are assigned. Calendly offers round-robin on its Teams plan. If clients should be routed to different salespeople, test exactly that scenario, not just a single booking. Calendly’s plan overview.
The current version of heyhey has no two-way sync with Google or Outlook and doesn’t create Meet or Zoom rooms automatically. You add busy time from outside heyhey as blocked time. Exporting an event to a calendar is not availability sync.
When heyhey is the better choice
Imagine a course with recorded lessons and a separate paid review of a participant’s work. The course covers the basics, and the meeting lets you discuss a specific project. In heyhey, you can sell both products from one account and show the consultation on your Quick Page.
The course and the consultation take up two product slots. Starter lets you begin with one of them; to offer both at the same time, you need a plan with a high enough limit. Buying the course alone doesn’t automatically include a meeting. The meeting is a separate offer, unless the organiser deliberately sets up access differently.
You can also send a campaign with a button that leads to the consultation. The recipient opens the booking page in their browser; they don’t pick a time inside the email. See the calendar in heyhey and ways to share it.
Compare the cost of a specific offer
On the date we checked, Calendly listed its Standard plan at USD 10 per user per month, billed yearly. That isn’t the month-to-month price, and the amount is in US dollars, not dirhams. heyhey Starter costs AED 0, and Growth on monthly billing costs AED 199 a month excl. VAT and includes up to five products. These plans cover different things, so the price difference alone doesn’t settle the choice. Calendly: pricing, heyhey: pricing and limits.
Write down your own costs: the scheduling tool, a home for your course, email marketing, the payment provider and video calls. Include only the services you actually use. heyhey takes 0% commission on sales, but the payment provider’s fees are separate. We don’t calculate a single “savings” figure that applies to everyone.
Test before you move your clients
Set up one offer and go through it as a client on your phone. Check, in this order:
- Is the time correct in the buyer’s time zone?
- Does an existing booking stop the same time from being booked again?
- Does the client understand when they pay and what they’re buying?
- Does the message include a working meeting link?
- Do rescheduling and cancelling work according to the rules you described?
- What happens to the payment after a cancellation?
In heyhey, cancelling a paid consultation makes the time slot available again; it doesn’t refund the money automatically. You handle the refund separately. Read the guide to rescheduling and cancelling bookings.
Questions before you choose
Does a paid consultation in heyhey require a paid plan?
No. One consultation can be your only product on Starter. Plan limits and the payment provider’s fees apply.
Does heyhey replace every Calendly feature?
No. If you need sync with an external calendar, automatically created video call rooms or meetings distributed across a team, take these differences into account before you switch.
Do I have to drop my current tool straight away?
No. Test a consultation on a separate link first. Check the booking and the messages, and only then change the links in your materials.
Where to start
If you’re looking for a meeting tool on its own, start with the integrations you need. If you want to combine consultations with selling your materials, follow the guide to creating your first consultation in heyhey. You can create an account for AED 0 and test the whole path before you share your offer with clients.
