Contacts and CRM: overview
Contacts is your CRM in heyhey. Everyone who fills in a form, buys a product or joins your member area automatically becomes a contact.
Profiles
A contact’s profile shows an activity timeline, the emails they received and opened, their orders with total customer value, their tags and their membership status. It’s the one page worth opening before you reply to a message from any customer. See Reading a contact profile.
Tags and lists
Tags are free-form labels, lists are curated groups. Both can be used as recipients for your emails. Segments go further: they are saved filters such as “bought product X and opened the last campaign” that update themselves. See Tags vs lists: when to use which and Segments that update themselves.
Capturing contacts
Forms you build in the page editor feed straight into Contacts, with optional double opt-in. Member sign-ups and every checkout also create or update a contact, so nothing needs typing in by hand. See How forms on your pages collect leads.
Importing from CSV
Existing lists come in through a CSV file, with field mapping, tagging on import and duplicate handling by email address. See Importing contacts from a CSV file.
Insights
The Insights view shows list growth and engagement, so you can see whether your audience is really compounding.
If your heyhey plan has a contact limit, the count covers unique contacts in your account, and you can see your current usage on the billing page.
