Email templates and saved sections
Templates save you from the blank page. In the email builder, click Templates in the top bar to open the "Start from a template" gallery.
The built-in gallery
You get eighteen layouts to start with, in four categories:
- Lifecycle: Welcome, Personalised welcome, Re-engagement, Members-only update, Review request, Event invitation, Refer a friend.
- Newsletter: Newsletter, Simple announcement, Share a blog post, Share your expertise.
- Sales: Product launch, Flash sale, Abandoned cart, Product showcase, VIP early access, plus a simple Plain text starter.
- Transactional: Order confirmation.
Choose a template and press Use template to drop it onto the canvas. Start from scratch clears everything back to an empty email.
Saving your own template
When you have an email you’re happy with, open the gallery and choose Save current as template. Give it a name and, if you like, a category. It goes into the Saved section and appears in the gallery alongside the built-in ones, ready for your next email. Your templates are private to your account.
Saved sections are the smaller version
Instead of a whole email, you can keep a single block. Select a block on the canvas, click Save section and give it a name. It appears in two places: under Saved blocks in the block palette and in the Your sections panel, so you can drop it into any email.
It’s a practical way to make your signature, a testimonial card, a footer note or a promotional banner look the same in everything you send, without rebuilding them each time.
Both modes are supported
A template remembers whether it was created in Visual or Plain text mode, and loading it switches the editor to match.
Deleting
You can delete your own templates and saved sections from the gallery and the palette. Deleting never affects emails that were already built from them: those keep their content.
A note about the footer
Whichever template you start from, the compliance footer with your business address and an unsubscribe link is added at the moment of sending and can’t be removed. Fill in your address in Settings → Marketing so it displays correctly. See How to avoid the spam folder.
