Email sending settings
Your sending settings live in two places. Your sender identity and sending domain are on the Domain page. Your postal address, email logo and subscription confirmation are in Marketing settings. Marketing settings links to the Domain page with the Sender identity and domain button.
Start with your sending domain
On the Domain page, scroll to the section about sending from your own domain. Enter a domain you own without www (for example yourbusiness.ae) and click Set up email domain. If you’ve already connected a website domain, the field is pre-filled with a suggestion.
Add the DNS records you’re given. They’re listed as Type, Name or Host, and Value or Target, and most of them are TXT records. SPF and DKIM are required for sending. Tracking and DMARC improve deliverability. If you can, add all four.
Four badges show exactly what has been verified so far: SPF, DKIM, Tracking and DMARC. Each one turns green once it’s confirmed, so you can see which record still needs attention instead of guessing. The domain badge shows the status Pending, Verifying, Verified or Failed.
Once you’ve added the records, click Check status. DNS changes take time to spread, so check again rather than starting over.
Set your sender identity
In the Sender identity card, you fill in:
- Sender name. This is how your emails introduce themselves, usually your brand name.
- Reply-to address. Optional. Replies go here instead of to the sender address.
- Sender address. Choose either the default address, where you can edit the first part, or any verified domain, where you choose the part before the @. A common choice is
hello@yourbusiness.ae.
Verified domains only appear in the list once they’re actually verified, and an attempt to send from an unverified one is rejected.
Click Save. If the default address you picked is already taken by someone else, you’ll be asked to choose a different one.
Removing an email domain doesn’t break your sending: the system falls back to the default sender.
Double opt-in
You’ll find it in Marketing settings, in the subscription confirmation section. Tick it so that new subscribers confirm their address before you start sending them marketing content. This improves deliverability, and in some regions it’s required.
Fill in the rest of the page
While you’re there, complete the other fields. Your marketing contact address appears in your email footers, as anti-spam rules require, and your brand logo sits at the top of your marketing emails. A size of around 600 × 300 pixels works well.
