Getting started with heyhey

Explain it simply with: ChatGPT Claude Perplexity Gemini Grok

When you log in to your heyhey dashboard, the first thing you see is the Dashboard page. A wide header greets you by name, and the sky image behind it changes through the day, so the dashboard looks different in the morning and in the evening. Below the greeting you’ll find today’s date and a short note about your contacts this month.

Setup checklist

Below the greeting there’s a setup checklist titled “Finish setting up your store”. It only shows the steps you haven’t done yet. There are four possible steps, and each one links straight to the page where you complete it:

  • Create your first product. A course, ebook, coaching or downloads. The link takes you to your list of products.
  • Connect payments. Accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. The link takes you to the Payments page.
  • Publish your first page. A home page or a landing page for your brand. The link takes you to Pages.
  • Get your first contact. Add a form and start building your list. The link takes you to Contacts.

Steps disappear as you complete them. Create a product, and the next time the Dashboard loads, that card is gone. Once all four are done, the whole checklist disappears and the Dashboard shows only your numbers.

The best order

If you can, work in exactly this order. Product first, because everything else points to something you sell. Then payments, because a published page with no way to pay is a dead end. For the full sequence all the way to your first sale, see the Setup checklist guide.

Set your time zone

Do this early. The greeting on your Dashboard, and more importantly the sending schedule for campaigns and automations, use the time zone saved on your account. Open the menu under your avatar in the top-right corner and go to Settings → Account details. We cover the details in Account settings.

Have a look around

The four cards below the setup checklist are your current numbers, and the panels further down show recent activity and quick actions. We walk through each of them in Dashboard overview. And when you want to know where a particular feature lives, see the Navigating the dashboard guide.
