A header and footer set is the frame around your published pages. You can keep several sets, for example one for your website and a second, slimmed-down one for landing pages, and choose which page uses which.
Where to find it
Website → Header and footer. The list shows a live preview of each set, a Default badge on one of them, plus search, filters and sorting.
Creating a set
Click New header and footer. The set is created and the editor opens straight away. Name it in the field at the top, switch between the header and footer panels and click Save. The preview next to the controls updates as you edit, using your colours and fonts.
Header options
- Show, to switch the header off completely in this set.
- Logo: an image from your media library, logo text and height in pixels. When both fields are empty, your site name is used.
- Layout: logo on the left or logo centred.
- Sticky to the top while scrolling.
- Content width, to match the width of your pages.
- Navigation menu: pick a menu built under Website → Navigation, or stick with the links entered below.
- Navigation links, each with optional sub-links shown as a drop-down menu.
- Buttons, in Primary, Outline, Soft or Link style, plus the button shape: sharp, rounded or pill.
- Background and text colours, each with an Auto option.
Footer options
- Show, logo, logo text and height.
- Brand tagline.
- Show social icons, which uses the social links from your branding settings.
- Navigation menu plus an optional column heading. It is added as a separate column before the others.
- Link columns, each with a title and its own links.
- Copyright text. Leave it empty for an automatic line.
- Content width, background and text colours.
Which set a page uses
Two places do the same thing:
- In the editor: page settings, then Header and footer.
- In the page list: the three-dot menu, then Edit details, then Header and footer.
The options are the default set, any set by name, or None, which means no header and footer at all. None is a per-page opt-out, handy on sales pages and checkout pages where only the page itself should remain.
Managing sets
The three-dot menu on each row lets you make a set the default, duplicate it or delete it. Deleting the default promotes another set, so you always have one.
The blog home page and blog posts always use the default set, because posts have no per-page choice.
