Domain not verifying

Domain verification is DNS plus patience. When it gets stuck, it is almost always one of the following.

The record isn’t exactly right

Compare it character by character with what the domain settings screen shows. Common slips: a space at the end of the pasted value, the record added for the wrong host (for example the root domain instead of www), or the wrong record type.

Your registrar adds the domain for you

Some DNS panels append your domain to the host you type, turning app into app.yourbusiness.ae.yourbusiness.ae. If your panel shows a doubled value, enter only the short host.

Propagation hasn’t finished

DNS changes take anything from a few minutes to a day, depending on the provider and the time to live (TTL) of the previous record. Check the record with a public DNS lookup tool: if the value isn’t publicly visible yet, heyhey can’t see it either.

An old record is in the way

An existing record on the same host, for example an old A record where the CNAME needs to go, blocks the new one. Delete the old record first.

Cloudflare proxy

If your DNS provider proxies records (in Cloudflare, that is the orange cloud), verification can fail. Set the record to DNS only until verification is complete.
