Click Customise on any page row, or the palette icon, to open the editor. The screen has three parts: the panel on the left, the canvas in the middle and the toolbar at the top.
Elements panel
This is where you add things. At the top is an element search, then four ready-made structures with 1, 2, 3 and 4 columns, and after that the widget tiles, grouped as Layout, Basic, General, Media, Conversion and Saved. Drag a tile onto the canvas, or simply click it to insert it at the current position. What each widget does is covered in the Widget library guide.
Structure
You build pages from containers. A ready-made structure inserts a container with the chosen number of columns side by side, and containers can be nested inside one another. Widgets live inside containers.
Settings panel
Select anything on the canvas and the left panel switches to that element’s settings, with three tabs:
- Content, for the actual text, images, links and items.
- Style, for the look. Many controls have Normal and Hover sub-tabs.
- Advanced, the same for every element: margin and padding, width, position, background and border, shadow, entrance animation, sticky, hiding on desktop, tablet and mobile, plus CSS ID, CSS classes, custom CSS and custom attributes.
Controls marked as responsive have a small device switcher, so a size can differ at each screen breakpoint.
Toolbar
From left to right: back, elements, templates, page switcher, site settings, page settings, navigator, undo, redo, the desktop, tablet and mobile buttons, preview, and the publish button with a drop-down for saving a draft, saving as a template and opening the page.
The navigator opens a collapsible tree of the whole page. Clicking selects a row, dragging changes the order, the eye hides an element on every device and the bin deletes it.
Page settings hold the page title, SEO title, SEO description and the choice of header and footer. Site settings hold your global colours and fonts, which flow through to every page you have already saved.
Saving
The editor saves automatically about 0.7 seconds after you stop editing, and the toolbar shows a saving message, then a note that all changes are saved. A failed save retries on its own. Closing the tab with unsaved work warns you first.
Shortcuts: Cmd/Ctrl+Z undoes, Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+Y redoes, Cmd/Ctrl+S saves straight away, Cmd/Ctrl+C copies, Cmd/Ctrl+V pastes, Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+V pastes the style only, Cmd/Ctrl+D duplicates, Delete deletes, Esc deselects.
Templates and saved blocks
The templates button opens the same full-screen gallery you see when creating a page, with options on each card to insert at the end or replace the page. Replacing can be undone. Save as template stores the current page in the Saved group of the elements panel, so you can insert it later on any other page.
