Checkout settings

Explain it simply with: ChatGPT Claude Perplexity Gemini Grok

Your checkout page is a saved, reusable design in your brand colours. You can have several and pin a different one to each product.

What the checkout handles

Whichever design you choose, buyers pay by card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, or with PayPal. These methods work on every plan, including the free Starter plan. The transaction itself can be one-off, recurring or split into instalments, and on top of that you have order bumps, upsells, coupons and trials. See How to accept payments.

Where to find it

Open Sales → Checkout.

Creating a design

Click New checkout page and choose one of three designs:

  • Classic: a focused card in the centre of the screen.
  • Modern: a two-column layout with a bold, colourful hero.
  • Minimal: quiet and airy, just the essentials.

Give the design a name, or leave the field empty and a name is generated for you. Names must be unique.

The editor

When you open a design, you get a settings column next to a live preview. Switch the preview between desktop, tablet and phone, or click Open full preview to see the real buyer page.

Colours. Set Accent, Background, Card and Text. Your saved brand colours appear as suggestions. Anything you leave matching your brand follows your branding settings, so changing a brand colour later updates the checkout too. Reset to brand colours takes everything back to the starting point.

Checkout fields. Switch on Ask for full name and Ask for phone number. Email is always required, because that’s where access is delivered.

Custom fields. Add up to 8 extra fields, for example an address or a company name. Each field has a label, a type (text, long text, email, phone or number), an optional placeholder and a required toggle. Answers are saved on the order and shown in its details.

Field labels. Rewrite the name, email and phone labels in your own words.

Payment buttons. Change the default text on the payment buttons, up to 40 characters each.

Finally, click Save checkout page.

Using a design

Exactly one design is the default, and every product without a pinned design uses it. The row menu lets you Set as default, Duplicate or Delete. Deleting a design moves the products pinned to it back to the default.

To pin a design, open the product, go to the Pricing tab and choose it in the checkout design field.

The discount code field appears on the checkout automatically as soon as you have active codes. More in Coupons and discounts.
