Can I sell ebooks and downloadable files?

Yes. An ebook is a product with a single PDF file, which buyers open in a comfortable reader in the member area. Downloads are a bundle: documents, images, video and audio in the order you choose, each with its own download button.

Files never have public links. Before a download starts, the system checks that the person downloading has access to it. Copying the link and sending it to a friend won’t work, because it simply won’t open for them. For building your list there is a third type, the free lead magnet: the same file mechanism, but delivered automatically to everyone who submits a sign-up form.
